Search Rio Blanco County Traffic Records

Rio Blanco County Traffic Courts
Traffic venue matters. County court handles traffic infractions and offenses. The Rio Blanco Combined Court is in Meeker, and the Rio Blanco County Associate Court is in Rangely. Meeker Municipal Court handles Meeker Police citations marked for Meeker Municipal Court. The Meeker page says State Patrol or Deputy Sheriff summonses go to Rio Blanco County Court, not Meeker Municipal Court.

What Rio Blanco Traffic Records Show
A traffic court record may show the ticket number, case number, court location, party name, citation or charge, court date, disposition, fine, costs, restitution, and ROA or ticket documents. A DMV driver record may later show conviction and point effects, but the court record is the source for the traffic case itself.

The DMV driving record is a separate file. The DMV says seven-year records include driver information, current DMV address, license or ID status, credential history, tickets and traffic convictions, reinstatement requirements, withdrawals, cancellations, suspensions, revocations, and administrative stops. Colorado DMV Traffic Records
Colorado myDMV includes requests for driving, vehicle, or transaction records. Online non-certified driving records may be emailed within 24 hours. Certified copies are stamped and mailed and typically process in about two business days. Mail requests use DR 2559 and go to the Division of Motor Vehicles in Denver.
Requests for another person's driving record are restricted by DPPA and C.R.S. 24-72-204(7). The requester must certify a permissible use. Protected motor vehicle information includes name, address, driver ID or license number, photograph or digital image, Social Security number, phone, and medical or disability information.

myDMV is useful for state driver records, not for obtaining a Rio Blanco County court ticket copy.
Pay or Contest Rio Blanco Traffic Tickets
For county-issued citations, the Rio Blanco Treasurer page says full payment within 20 days of issue is required to receive point reduction. Credit or debit card payment is by phone at 970-878-9660, mailed payment goes to Rio Blanco County Treasurer, P.O. Box G, Meeker, CO 81641, and cash may be paid in person at 555 Main Street in Meeker. The page states it accepts county-issued citations only, not State of Colorado, Town of Meeker, or Town of Rangely citations.
Meeker Municipal Court states that no credit cards are accepted for its municipal tickets. It accepts payment in person at Town Hall during posted weekday hours or by a 24/7 night deposit box. If no payment amount is shown, appearance is mandatory. A person contesting a state court traffic ticket should use the hearing date and court listed on the ticket and verify the docket through the Colorado Judicial Branch or the court clerk.
DUI, CDL, and Restricted Traffic Records
DUI and DWAI matters can move beyond simple traffic handling and become criminal court records.
